IO Broadcast
The IO Broadcast section sets up the RIO IO Broadcasting parameters.
Broadcast Network Id
Specifies an RIO network id.
All RIOs in the network must have the same broadcast network id.
Enable Broadcast Interval
If set the RIO will send its IO status every XXXX number of milliseconds.
If the unit is in MASTER mode it will attempt to poll PEER units one at a time on this interval.
Broadcast Interval
Time in milliseconds for the RIO to send broadcast messages.
Force Broadcast
This will force the unit to transmit on interval even if it has no data to send.
This may be useful for maintaining link status at both ends of a pair of RIOs.
This may result in unnecessary traffic over the communication link.
Broadcast On Change
This will force the unit to transmit in the event there is a change in the input module status.
Analog Threshold
The degree, in digits, of change required to trigger a broadcast.
For a 4-20mA transmitter 262 is approximately 1% of full scale.
0 to disable.
Enable Modules
Select which modules to include in the broadcast.
If a module is not selected it will neither send its own IO status nor accept the IO status from other RIOs.
This can be used to make some module data only accessible via modbus.
